[Also in Division H5] A solid hot plate 1, with a central opening 12 and a metal sleeve 13 secured thereto, has a discshaped thermostat feeler box 18 and support member 23 releasably secured as a unit to the sleeve 13 without the use of tools, the feeler box 18 having limited axial movement relative to its support member 23 which supports and centres the compression spring 21 biasing the box 18 upwardly and is penetrated by the capillary tube 19 leading to the thermostat diaphragm acting on switching contacts (not shown). Support member 23 supports leaf spring members 32 which have recesses 34 for snap engagement with an annular rim 36 secured to the underside of the hot plate body. Projections 38 in the recesses 34 engage on internal toothing of rim 36 to prevent rotation of the inserted unit after installation.
