Disclosed are a light emitting diode including porous transparent electrodes and a manufacturing method of the same light emitting diode. The light emitting diode includes: a light emitting structure including an upper semiconductor layer, an active layer, and a lower semiconductor layer; a first transparent electrode layer located on the upper semiconductor layer; and a second transparent layer which is located on the first transparent electrode layer and includes an air gap inside. Thereby, efficiency of the light extraction is increased and a light emitting diode having increased efficiency is produced by a simple process with high applicability.
