In a cutter pick a cutter cap is secured on a cutter body by the forked rear of the cap embracing the nose of the body and being retained thereon by cotter pins passing through aligned bores in the cap and the nose, whilst the cap abuts against one or more self adjusting abutment surfaces provided between the cap and the body. The surfaces are preferably provided by milled out chordal parts on the ends of a pin rotatably disposed in the nose of the body at the rear of the cap when the cap is mounted on the nose. |
