The covering (1) has two sidewalls (8, 9) arranged laterally to a circular saw blade (3), where the sidewall (8) exhibits a large distance from the saw blade than the sidewall (9) in a straight position (4) such that an inclination of the saw blade is permitted in a direction of the sidewall (8). The two sidewalls are connected by a connecting unit (18). The connecting unit is supported about a swivel axis (14) that is swivelable with respect to a support unit (12) with the covering, where the two sidewalls are interchangeable in their position with respect to the saw blade.
