A method for the identification of overrunning vehicles consists in that pulses of electromagnetic emission are irradiated in the direction of vehicles moving along roadway section, pulses of reflected electromagnetic emission are received, distance and driving speed are measured by comparison of parameters of irradiated and received pulses, and measured driving speed is compared with maximum authorized speed at given section. The traffic lane of offending vehicle is determined by calculated distance with automatic recording of speed mode violation. In case of overspeed recording at given section of traffic lane, zone of vehicle location is scanned with laser beam of infrared band, bar code applied on wind screen is read out with further identification of offending vehicle. |
