TECHNIQUE FOR SCAPHOID-TRAPEZIUM-TRAPEZOID ARTHRODESIS

A technique for scaphoid-trapezium-trapezoid arthrodesis comprises the dorsal access to the joint, the resection of the articulate surfaces, and the correction of the rotation instability of the scaphoid bone. The scaphoid bone is held in the correction position, and the articulate surfaces are resected with small cylindrical mill generating two tunnel defects. Then two corresponding grafts in a shape of the columns are tailored with the mill of the larger diameter and inserted into the tunnels having been generated.
