The present invention relates to paint for a road sign. The purpose of the present invention is to synthesize polyester resin containing a plurality of functional groups of alcohol, which is used for manufacturing quickly drying paint for a road sign not including solvent; and to manufacture a paint composition comprising the same. The paint composition according to the present invention comprises 10 to 40 wt% of elastic polyester resin containing a plurality of functional groups of alcohol; and 5 to 20 wt% of hard epoxy resin having excellent adhesiveness and hardness during curing. The inventors found that a quickly drying paint manufactured according to the Republic of Korea patent 10-050507 has poor durability such that paint on a road is broken and peeled by a heavy vehicle because the paint is manufactured by simply mixing commercialized hard PMMA resin. As a result of consistent effort for solving the problem, the inventors found that soft polyester resin containing a plurality of functional groups of alcohol, which is included in the paint composition, improves the impact resistance, abrasion resistance, weather resistance, adhesiveness to a base, durability, medicine resistance and alkali resistance of the paint. And the inventors invented a polyester resin synthesis method fit for the paint to have optimal properties. The quickly drying paint for a road sign manufactured according to the present invention satisfies the criteria of various properties required for paint for a road sign and, above all, exhibits excellent impact resistance compared with existing products. |
