An air conditioning unit includes a base pan that collects condensate water from an evaporator. A condenser shroud comprises a shroud body with an opening to receive a fan. The shroud body has a first side that faces the evaporator and a second side that faces a condenser. A water passage is formed in at least one of the condenser and the condenser shroud to direct the condensate water along one lateral edge of the base pan.
