According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes a touch screen display, a vibrator, an area display module, a touch position detector, and a vibration controller. The vibrator is configured to vibrate the touch screen display. The area display module is configured to display a first area on the touch screen display. The touch position detector is configured to detect a touch position on the touch screen display.
