A method for the determination of residual stresses in the surface layer of metals consists in radiating the sample under investigation with X-ray beam, the sample is installed in sequence at different angles to the direction of incident X-ray beam, with registration of reflected X-ray beam by detector, determination of the center of gravity of diffraction maxima and calculation of residual macro-stresses. The Young’s moduleof the sample under investigation is determined by the kinetic indentation method. |
