摘要 The present invention relates to an apparatus and method of monitoring whether electricity leakage or electric arc occurs in a switchgear and determining a phase at which the electricity leakage or electric arc occurs. The apparatus includes grounding bus bars connected to multiple switchgears to ground the switchgears; a leaking current sensor installed to measure a current leaking in each of the switchgears; an arc detecting sensor installed to detect an electric arc that occurs in each of the switchgears; a three-phase voltage measuring unit prepared to measure a three-phase voltage applied to the switchgears; a determination unit monitoring whether an electricity leakage and electric arc occur in the switchgears based on a leaking current measured from each leaking current sensor and an electric arc detected by each arc detecting sensor and determining a phase at which the electricity leakage or electric arc occurs in the switchgears from a three-phase voltage measured by the three-phase voltage measuring unit; and an output unit outputting a result of the monitoring and determination by the determination unit to an outside. According to the present invention, whether and which phase an electric arc occurs in a switchgear, as well as the electric leakage and its position may be determined, enabling precise and easy management of the switchgear.
