The present invention relates to an underwater electric rotating body having a waterproof structure and including: a rotating shaft, one part of which is in rotary motion in an underwater environment; a rotor which is disposed surrounding one part of the outer surface of the rotating shaft and which rotates with the rotating shaft; a stator that is formed surrounding the rotor so as to correspond to the rotor and be separated from the rotor at a predetermined interval in order to rotate the rotor using electric energy or generate electric energy as a result of the rotation of the rotor; and a housing formed vertical to the rotating shaft and divided by a partition wall in which a through-hole through which the rotating shaft extends and which facilitates the rotation of the rotating shaft is formed, wherein the housing has two or more waterproof spaces formed in sequence along the direction of the rotating shaft therein and an underwater power generator using same. Of the two or more waterproof spaces in the housing, the waterproof space that is positioned on the outermost side from the waterproof space where the rotor and the stator are included therein is filled with a material having a specific gravity or viscosity higher than water at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. According to the present invention, no additional complex mechanical configuration needs to be introduced, and the simple waterproof structure can be used for the low-cost operation of the underwater electric rotating body and the underwater power generator in an underwater environment. |
