A method for operating the eMMC according to one embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: determining whether to enter a vendor mode by analyzing a command factor of a command received from a host; receiving vendor mode attribute information required for performing the vendor mode according to the determination result; and performing the vendor mode determined according to the vendor mode attribute information.
