The purpose of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for manipulating and operating a blowout preventer (BOP) stack in the ocean applying a foldable catwalk platform, which enables supplying or collecting a riser when a BOP overhead crane does not move the position and is placed in a fixed position. To achieve the purpose above, the apparatus comprises a fixed BOP overhead crane, a winch, a foldable catwalk platform, and a platform cylinder. Therefore, the apparatus can save costs required for additionally installing a drag chain and a skid rail which are required by the existing (movable) BOP overhead crane, can reduce working hours required for moving the position of the BOP overhead crane, and can increase the usability of spaces by reducing a moving space of the BOP overhead crane inside a drillship. |
