The system i.e. rail (20), has a front end (22) and back end (21). End pieces (40, 42) are provided at side ends of a rigid front edge of a canopy. The end-pieces are arranged to cooperate with the rail, where rail includes locking housings (23, 23bis, 24) at each of the front and rear ends for locking the end-pieces in a preset position. One of the housings at the rear end maintains the front edge according to a plane forming an angle of 10 and 90 degrees with respect to a horizontal plane, so that the front edge is located above the horizontal plane.
