The method involves connecting a photodiode (101) to a reading point (SENSE) through a metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) transistor (103), and reading information representative of the potential of the reading point during an initial period of closing of the MOS transistor. The reading point is re-initialized after the initial period of closing of the MOS transistor, and the information representative of the potential of the reading point is read during another period of closing of the MOS transistor. An independent claim is also included for an image sensor.
