DRUG THERAPY FOR CANCER, INCLUDING MULTIPLE MYELOMA

There is provided a pharmaceutical composition for use in therapy comprising a compound of formula (IA) and a compound of formula (IIA). There is also provided the use of the disclosed pharmaceutical composition in the manufacture of a medicament for treating cancer, including a clonal plasma cell malignancy such as multiple myeloma. The multiple myeloma may be relapsed, refractory or bortezomib resistant multiple myeloma. There is also provided the use of a compound of Formula (IA) in the manufacture of a medicament for treating cancer, including a clonal plasma cell malignancy such as multiple myeloma. The multiple myeloma may be relapsed, refractory or bortezomib resistant multiple myeloma. A preferred compound of formula (IA) is guanabenz and a preferred compound of formula (IIA) is bortezomib.
