The monitoring method includes the steps of: inputting a rated operating parameter and a fault signature library of a monitored object; storing the rated operating parameter and fault signature library in a data storage module (22); acquiring power supply line information about the monitored object; comparing the rated operating parameter of the monitored object with the acquired power supply line information, and judging whether the power supply line information is located in a reasonable fluctuation range of the rated operating parameter; and if the power supply line information is beyond the reasonable fluctuation range of the rated operating parameter, judging that the operation of the monitored object is abnormal, extracting a fluctuation rule of the power supply line information about the monitored object in abnormal operation, performing similarity comparison with the fault signature library, and judging the reason why the operation of the monitored object is abnormal.</p>
