PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device that operates as a semiconductor relay implementing a high speed on operation and a low on resistance, by increasing a short circuit current of photodiode arrays without decreasing an open voltage thereof.SOLUTION: For controlling on/off an output MOSFET 8, the semiconductor device includes: first and second photodiode arrays 2, 3 each for generating a photovoltage on receipt of light from an LED 1; a first, normally off semiconductor switch 4 connected between a cathode of the first photodiode array 2 and an anode of the second photodiode array 3; a second, normally on semiconductor switch 5 connected between the cathode of the first photodiode array 2 and a cathode of the second photodiode array 3; and a third, normally on semiconductor switch 6 connected between an anode of the first photodiode array 2 and the anode of the second photodiode array 3. |
