PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder having high rigidity and superior cutting performance, even in machining work having many standing walls and interference such as hard-to-cut workpieces or a metal mold and having a deep bottom.SOLUTION: A tool body chuck part 2 comprises a holder part 21 integrated with a tool body shank 1 and a cemented carbide shaft-shaped shank 22, and the shaft-shaped shank is coaxially inserted into a mounting hole 23 of the holder part and integrated by shrink fitting. The material of the holder part and the material of steel, and the shaft-shaped shank, are taken from either one of VM10-VM60. A bore diameter of a holder part mounting hole and a shrink fit tightening margin of a shaft-shaped shank shaft diameter are made to exceed 3/1000 mm of a gauge diameter of the shaft-shaped shank and 5/1000 mm or less. The shrink fitting by this tightening margin or the like becomes such mounting that the shaft-shaped shank may not be pulled out of the holder part by a conventional shrink fitting mounting to the holder part of the normal cutting tool. A cutting tool 25 of a proper type is mounted to the shaft-shaped shank. If a buffer material 30 is provided, the stress caused in the boundary surface of the shaft-shaped shank and the cutting tool in the cutting work can be buffered. |
