The purpose of the present invention is to make possible accurate and rapid setting of a region of interest. The present invention is an image diagnosis device characterized by being provided with: a first generating means for generating a closed curve indicative of a blood vessel wall by extracting the position of the blood vessel wall from an ultrasonic cross-sectional image at a predetermined position in the axial direction; a second generating means for generating a closed curve indicative of the boundary of a blood flow region by extracting the boundary position of the blood flow region from an optical cross-sectional image at the predetermined position; and a setting means for setting, as the region of interest in the ultrasonic cross-sectional image or the optical cross-sectional image, the region between the closed curve generated by the first generating means and the closed curve generated by the second generating means when the ultrasonic cross-sectional image and the optical cross-sectional image at the predetermined position are superimposed with alignment. |
