METHOD FOR FORMING POLYMER WAVEGUIDE ARRAY CONNECTOR OF SINGLE MODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately position a plurality of cores constituting a polymer waveguide array or a fiber array with respect to an absolute reference position (guide pin hole of ferrule) in connection of waveguide array connectors or connection of the waveguide array connector and the fiber array connector of a single mode when the polymer waveguide array connector of the single mode is formed.SOLUTION: A method for forming a polymer waveguide array connector of a single mode is reviewed for an entire process from its basics. A plurality of cores constituting the polymer waveguide array of the single mode or the fiber array of a signal mode is highly accurately positioned. A plurality of combinations (first die (A) and second die(B)) used for a plurality of processes in the unique method of the invention are additionally provided.
