<p>Disclosed is a mailbox sharing method, comprising: a mail server acquires user login information; the mail server decodes the virtual mail address information to acquire a destination mailbox address and user information; and, determining, on the basis of the destination mailbox address and of the user information, whether or not the user is an authorized user of the destination mailbox, if yes, the user is allowed to perform a corresponding operation on the destination mailbox, while if not, the user is denied access to the destination mailbox. The present invention uses a specific encoding solution to encode the user information and the destination mailbox address to form a virtual mail address, thus making feasible for the mail server to simultaneously identify an agent identity and the destination mailbox, while at the same time, the user that owns the destination mailbox is allowed to manage mailbox sharing authorization on the basis of need, thus implementing flexible and secure mailbox shared access.</p> |
