The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing polycarbonate and a polycarbonate manufactured by the same. The polycarbonate manufactured according to the present invention is macromolecular, and has a high distribution of molecular weight, so as to be applied to various raw materials for molding. Moreover, according to the method for manufacturing polycarbonate, a poly-metal cyanide catalyst can be used for a polymerization without an additional solvent, thereby producing the macromolecular polycarbonate having a high distribution of molecular weight, in a continuous process.
