PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel beam and a column-beam joint structure which is effective for shear buckling, when a load acts on the steel beam because of an earthquake or the like, and capable of suppressing excessive yield-strength increase while securing deformability by smoothly restricting local buckling of flanges.SOLUTION: A stiffening member 5 stiffening an end portion of a steel beam 1 with an H-shaped cross section is formed from a vertical stiffener 6 and a horizontal stiffener 7 which are provided in a web 3 in the end portion of the steel beam 1, and upper and lower end portions of the vertical stiffener 6 are not joined with flanges 2, 2, respectively. Therefore, since local buckling of the flanges 2, 2 is allowed by the vertical stiffener 6, excessive yield-strength increase can be suppressed while securing deformability by smoothly restricting local buckling of the flanges in the steel beam. |
