PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furniture overturning prevention device being easily installed without any necessity of making holes on a wall surface or the like in a room and, even if a strong earthquake occurs, preventing furniture such as a refrigerator from being easily overturned.SOLUTION: The furniture overturning prevention device includes: floor surface fixing means mounted on a vicinity of a bottom part of furniture and fixing the furniture to a prescribed position on a floor surface; and strut means disposed between the upper surface of the furniture and a ceiling surface of a room in which the furniture is installed, so as to stretch an interval between the upper surface of the furniture and the ceiling surface of the room. The fixing means includes adhesive members, a first adhesive surface coming into contact with the vicinity of the bottom of the furniture, and a second adhesive surface coming into contact with the floor surface. |
