PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for adjusting a power converter in multiple operation mode.SOLUTION: A power converter includes a switch connected with an energy transmission element connected between the input and output of the power converter, a control circuit connected with the switch and controlling the switch, and a control loop connected between the control circuit and the output of the power converter. The control circuit has first and second duty cycle control mode for adjusting power supplied to the output of the power converter. Transition between the first and second duty cycle control modes responds to the magnitude of a current flowing through the switch which reaches a current threshold. During transition between the first and second duty cycle control modes, control loop gain is maintained constant. |
