PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combined steel wall capable of developing the effects of combination with steel pipes, and securing the safety and soundness of a wall body while avoiding steel sheet piles from yielding over the extension of the wall body.SOLUTION: A wall body is provided with a plurality of steel sheet piles 1 connected together via joints 1d, and a plurality of steel pipes are arranged on the wall body at the side of a low ground surface across the wall body so that their longitudinal directions are approximately parallel to the longitudinal directions of the steel sheet piles and the steel pipes enter recessed portions of the steel sheet pile walls at predetermined pitches in the extending direction of the wall body. At least parts in the vertical directions of the steel pipes and the steel sheet piles are put in contact with each other or connected to each other via connection members, and L≤(1/2)H is satisfied where L is the pitch of the steel pipe on the wall body, and H is the height of the wall body. This reduces the stress of the steel sheet piles generated near middles between the adjacent steel pipes, shows the effects of combination with the steel pipes, and develops the stiffening effects of the steel pipes over the extension of the wall body. |
