PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an efficient operation of a wind power generating system driven by a kite.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a system for converting wind power energy in which at least one kite (1) that can be operated from the ground and enter into at least one air current W, and a vertical axis wind power turbine (2) arranged on a ground level and provided with at least one arm (3) connected to the kite (1) through two ropes (4) are provided; the kite (1) rotates the arm (3) and operates as a power generator, and is adapted to be controlled by the turbine (2) for converting wind power energy into electrical energy by at least one power generator/motor systems (15a, 15b) operating in cooperation with the turbine (2); and ropes (4) are adopted to transmit mechanical energy from the kite (1) and to the kite (1) so as to control a flight orbit of the kite (1). Further, the present invention also discloses a method for generating electrical energy from the system above. |
