PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support device for a semiconductor integrated circuit, which can prevent the area of a logic gate from increasing more than required.SOLUTION: A design support device for a semiconductor integrated circuit includes a storage unit, and a control unit. The storage unit stores: a library, in which a plurality of types of logic gates to which the size of a pattern related to a predetermined characteristic value is discretely set are registered and information on the variable range of the size is also registered as an attribute value for each of the plurality of logic gates; and a constraint that is related to the characteristic value. The control unit selects one of the plurality of types of logic gates on the basis of a predetermined functional specification, changes the size of the selected logic gate within the variable range, and sets the size to a minimum value for which the characteristic value satisfies the constraint. |
