PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase contact pressure with respect to a male tab terminal.SOLUTION: A free end side of a leaf spring 20 inside a box part 11 of a female terminal 10 is extended forward while being curved downward in convex and bent diagonally backward-upward in a dog leg shape at a front end 22c of a curved part 22. A tip side of a bent part 23, as a protrusion piece, protrudes upward from a through hole 42 of an upper wall 11a of the box part. The protrusion piece is constituted as an engaging piece which is engaged with an engaging protrusion 54 when the box part is inserted into a terminal housing chamber 51. The bent part 23 bent in a dog leg shape is constituted as a compression spring part which is pressed and compressed by a male tab terminal and presses the male tab terminal toward a tab reception part with the compression reaction force when the male tab terminal is inserted and a tip 24a of the engaging piece is engaged with a corner part on a bottom front side of the engaging protrusion. |
