PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle-riding type vehicle in which a wheelbase can be shortened and the load share of a front wheel can be increased while avoiding interference between the front wheel and an engine mounted with a speed change gear.SOLUTION: A motorcycle includes: a front fork 12 mounted in a steerable manner in the front part of a vehicle body frame; a front wheel 13 mounted at the bottom end of the front fork 12 via a wheel axle 26; an engine 14 mounted on the vehicle body frame behind the front wheel 13; and a crank shaft mounted on the engine 14 extending in the front-back direction. The engine 14 is provided with two main shafts 57, 58 disposed in parallel on the right and left sides and driven by the crank shaft via a primary speed reduction mechanism. The main shafts 57, 58 are each disposed at the lower positions with respect to the wheel axle 26 of the front wheel 13 and on the right and left sides separated from the center of the vehicle width direction of the motorcycle.
