The method involves removing a defective component region of fiber composite component (10). The fiber layers (38,40,42) comprising filler (44) are prepared for replacing the defective component region. A plastic modeling structure corresponding to contour of repair region (14) at fiber composite component is prepared. The fiber layers are attached and cured at the modeling structure and the hardened fiber layers (38,40) are attached at the repair region of composite component. The fiber layer (42) is laminated to hardened fiber layers to form a spacer (44).
