PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert a signal at time and/or a frequency, particularly to code an audio signal.SOLUTION: A high frequency reconstruction (HFR) including a frequency region harmonic converter is provided. A method and a system for generating an output signal converted from an input signal by using a conversion factor T are provided. The system includes a decomposition window having a length La for extracting the frame of the input signal, and a decomposition conversion unit of a degree M for converting a sample value into M complex coefficients. The system further includes a nonlinear processing unit for changing the phases of the complex coefficients by using the conversion factor T, a combination conversion unit of a degree M for converting the changed coefficients into M changed sample values, and a combination window having a length Ls for generating the frame of the output signal. |
