PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shifting control device of an automatic transmission which inhibits frequent shifting upon sudden deceleration of a vehicle and prevents an engine stall.SOLUTION: In a shifting control device 10 of an automatic transmission coupled with a drive shaft of an engine, an automatic transmission ECU 11 shares a vehicle speed acquisition unit 106 for detecting a speed of a vehicle and a brake stroke acquisition unit 107 for detecting a step-on amount of a brake pedal, with an engine ECU 101. The automatic transmission ECU 11 estimates brake force applied on the vehicle to derive deceleration of the vehicle on the basis of the brake force and a vehicle speed when sensing a shift to a deceleration state where the brake force acts on the vehicle, and the ECU restricts upshift of the automatic transmission if detecting that the deceleration is larger than a predetermined decelerating threshold. |
