PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device capable of presenting an optimum running speed, which is safe and fuel-efficient, to a driver at any time.SOLUTION: The driving support device calculates a recommended speed on the basis of gradient information and curve information of roads included in map information, and signal cycle information included in signal information; and can support optimum running with moderate acceleration and deceleration without making arbitrary decision of a driver by presenting the recommended speed to the driver. Consequently, the driving support can avoid a risk to secure safety at any time without sudden acceleration and sudden stop, and can eliminate useless fuel consumption. |
