In first and second display devices (10, 20) both being pause-driven (intermittently driven), a momentary increase in power consumption is suppressed by a configuration in which control is performed so that during a scanning-stopped period for one display device, a scanning period for the other display device is inserted, i.e., during drive operation (for writing to a pixel circuit) by one display device, drive operation by the other display device is not performed. A display device can thereby be driven even when the limit value of the current supply capability of a battery is low. Battery life is therefore increased, and the time for which a portable terminal (100) can be operated on battery power can be increased. |
