Disclosed is a data processing method, comprising: when an operation of erasing and writing data in a data block is conducted on a user area data block of a digital television terminal, storing data to be written and related information about the data to be written in a recording area, the related information about the data to be written comprising an address of a user area data block corresponding to the data to be written; according to the address of the user area data block corresponding to the data to be written, reading data to be erased in the user area data block and merging the data to be erased with the data to be written; storing the merged data in a backup area of the digital television terminal; and erasing the data to be erased in the user area data block, and storing the merged data in the user area data block. Also disclosed is a digital television terminal. The present invention is applied to have the advantage of improving the data saving security of the digital television terminal.
