PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of storing predetermined electric energy with a simple configuration and supplying stable electric power when needed through hydraulic power generation having excellent power generation efficiency.SOLUTION: When seawater flows into a water tank 10, which is installed in the sea US with an upper edge section thereof exposed above a sea surface and has a predetermined volume, through a communication passage 11, a generator 20 which is installed in the communication passage 11 generates electricity. Thus, a power generation system can store predetermined electric energy in accordance with a volume of the water tank 10 with a simple configuration which installs the water tank 10 in the sea. Also, the power generation system has little energy loss because a length of the communication passage 11 to introduce the seawater into the generator 20 is extremely shorter than conventional hydraulic power generation. Therefore, the power generation system can supply stable electric power when needed through the hydraulic power generation having excellent power generation efficiency. |
