PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a structure in which a heating area in a width direction of a fixing belt 1 serving as a heating member can be changed, and in which even when power is supplied or when an image forming job is started, generation of wrinkle on a recording material can be suppressed.SOLUTION: An image forming device is configured so that a heat generating area of a fixing belt 1 is caused to be the largest at an occasion when power is supplied or when an image forming job is started and before a recording material enters a nip portion N between the fixing belt 1 and a pressure roller 2 serving as a rotary member. In addition to this, a width-direction intermediate portion of the pressure roller 2 is cooled down by a cooling fan 600 serving as cooling means. Thereby, a temperature difference between the width-direction intermediate portion and width-direction edge portions of the pressure roller 2 can be made small. As a result, a difference in conveyance speed of the recording material can be made small between the width-direction intermediate portion and the width-direction edge portions, so that generation of wrinkle on the recording material can be reduced. |
