PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relatively nontoxic desazadesferrithiocin analog useful for a treatment of an iron excess and diseases related thereto in mammals.SOLUTION: A desazadesferrithiocin polyether derivative represented by the following formula or a salt, a hydrate or a solvation thereof for treating excessive effects of a trivalent metal, i.e. iron. where Ris [(CH)-O]-[(CH)-O]-alkyl, n is independently an integer of 1 to 8, x is an integer of 1 to 8, y is an integer of 0 to 8, and RO may take any position other than 4-position on a phenyl ring. |
