The beverage producing unit (17) comprises an infusion chamber (23) with a movable, first infusion chamber portion (25) forming a receptacle (31) for receiving at least one beverage preparing product and movable between a loading position, wherein the first infusion chamber portion (25) is arranged under a product-loading hopper(35), and a brewing position, wherein the first infusion chamber portion (17) co-acts with a second infusion chamber portion (27) closing the infusion chamber, and vice-versa. The beverage producing unit (17) further comprises a scraper (37) arranged and configured for leveling a product heap (H) projecting from the receptacle (31) during movement of the first infusion chamber portion (25) from the first position towards said second position. The receptacle (31) has a top edge (31L), surrounding a receptacle inlet aperture. The top edge (31L) is provided with a projection (43) extending from the top edge (31L) and arranged for preventing product from falling out of the receptacle when passing under the scraper. |
