PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal in which security is protected even when a plurality of users share the mobile terminal.SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 100 includes: a touch panel 110; a touch panel controller 120; an LCD 130; an LCD controller 140; a central processing unit 150; an input pattern determination section 160 which determines a pattern to be input for locking or unlocking a screen of the mobile terminal 100, on the basis of an operation performed to the touch panel 110; a pattern matching database 170; an operation mode control section 180 for operating the mobile terminal 100 in an operation mode related with the pattern which the input pattern determination section 160 has accepted; and an operation mode DB 190. The input pattern determination section 160 includes: a pattern storage section 161 which stores a pattern; a pattern collation section 162; and a collation result determination section 163 which determines whether the screen of the LCD 130 is unlocked or not.
