PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a structure capable of reducing the device size increase by employing a configuration of causing a heating unit 27A to move in a reciprocative manner.SOLUTION: Width information, which is a length in width direction of a conveyed recording material, is acquired by a width information acquisition part 480 serving as width information acquisition means. Then, when the width information acquired by the width information acquisition part is equal to or shorter than a prescribed length, a heating unit 27A is moved each time a prescribed number of recording materials pass by a nip part N. On the other hand, when the width information is larger than the prescribed length, a position of the heating unit 27A in a width direction is set as a prescribed position. With this configuration, it is not necessary to make a length in width direction of a heating area of a heating belt 302 serving as a heating member larger than necessary, so that device size increase can be reduced. |
