The orthopedic shoe insert structure (1) has a flexible upper layer (4) which consists of a top surface (7) serving as foot contact surface (8). A flexible bottom layer (5) is provided with a bottom side (10) which is turned away from the top surface. A resilient interlayer (6) is provided with a polyurethane foam portion (12) which is set to connect the upper layer firmly with the bottom layer. The orthopedic shape and rigidity of the shoe insert structure are determined with the polyurethane foam portion. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing orthopedic shoe insert structure.
