The method involves arranging cameras (K1-K4) for creating a circumspection represented in receiving position of inner or outside space of a vehicle on a virtual projection surface. The viewpoints of the adjacent cameras are partially overlapped in surrounding of vehicle to form overlapping area. A dynamic adaptation of joining the camera images on projection surface is enabled for approaching a cover-free circumspection function of objects in overlapping area by mathematical displacement of projection surface such that object is imaged in plane of projection surface. An independent claim is included for device for imaging driver assistance system for mapping objects in surrounding area of vehicle.
