The device has nozzle bodies (3) distributed over a periphery of a nozzle ring (2). The nozzle bodies are jointly pivotable such that outlet nozzles (3.1) of the nozzle bodies are aligned against a preset location of a nozzle ring axis (2.1), and medium jets (4) run tangential to another ring axis. A pivoting device engages at the nozzle bodies, and causes simultaneous pivoting of the nozzle bodies. An adjusting ring is carried by the nozzle ring and arranged coaxial to the nozzle ring. Each nozzle body includes a ball body, which engages in a guide groove. An independent claim is also included for a machine tool.
