An illumination device is provided with: an anode terminal (34A) provided on one end of each LED (32); a cathode terminal (34C) provided on the other end of each LED (32) and provided at a position displaced from the anode terminal (34A) of an LED (32) adjacent to the LED (32) having the cathode terminal (34C) in a plane surface direction of a flexible substrate orthogonal to the alignment direction of the LEDs (32); an anode-side wiring pattern (33A) connected to the anode terminal (34A); and a cathode-side wiring pattern (33C) connected to the cathode terminal (34C) and provided so as to partially overlap, in a plane surface direction of a flexible substrate orthogonal to the alignment direction of the LEDs (32), with the anode-side wiring pattern (33A) connected to an LED (32) adjacent to the LED (32) to which the cathode-side wiring pattern (33C) is connected.
