<p>Disclosed is a polymeric support layer that is free of macrovoids and has a thickness of 10 to 500 µm and a mean pore size of 5 to 50 nm. The polymeric support, preferably a polyimide support, can be coated with a polyamide thin film layer having a thickness of 50 to 300 nm to form a composite membrane. Also disclosed are methods of preparing the above-described polymeric support and composite membrane.</p> |
