PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser wavelength conversion element and a laser device capable of achieving high efficiency, a long service life and a small size.SOLUTION: The laser wavelength conversion element comprises, as an integrated element: a planar wavelength conversion crystal 2 that converts fundamental wave light into wavelength-converted light by use of birefringence of a nonlinear optical crystal and has a thickness less than a walk-off length; first prisms 1a and 1b disposed on one surface of the wavelength conversion crystal; and second prisms 1c and 1d, 1e disposed on the other surface of the wavelength conversion crystal. The following wavelength conversion process is repeated a plurality of times in the laser wavelength conversion element to output wavelength-converted light. The wavelength coercion process comprises: converting fundamental wave light made incident on one of the first prism and the second prism into wavelength-converted light by the wavelength conversion crystal; guiding the wavelength-converted light to the other prism; and further guiding the wavelength-converted light from the other prism to the one prism via the wavelength conversion crystal. |
